1. Focus on your breath - it is your instrument you always can access
Your breath is always there. And it is a great indicator about your level of calmness and groundedness. Just take a moment and feel, experience your breath. Where is it entering your body? How deep does it flow in your body? What about its rhythm?
Following and focusing your breath is a wonderful exercise which you can perform at all places and which gives you signals about your state. At first try not to change, just be aware of it.
2. Aware of your body - change your attitude
Your body is a wonderful tool to interact with this world. Good Actors knowand practice that they can influence their attitude and emotions by changing their body posture. For example it is impossible to be angry when you have a smile in your face and a straight back with risen arms. Small changes in your posture leads to instant changes in your mood. Make use of it and be aware how you move through this world.
3. Time for reflection is time for personal growth
Between all of our daily tasks and routines we often do not make a break and just continue on autopilot. Breaks can be as simple as having three deep breaths, talking a walk to the rest room, watching out of the window. Try not to continue with whatever is in your mind, just let go and observe yourself. What do you feel, what can your hear, anything special around you, some space where you can reflect your own state. Like you are a lake and all waves can come to a mirror like surface in which you see your own reflections.
Without a need those little times - which of cause can be extended to your personal needs - are the times in which we learn.
4. There is nothing to do - nowhere to go
Running from one issue to the next often is taking our full energy. We are living in a world where results, activity is seen and it is too easy to forget to be.
The real wonder is our existence itself. An it needs its time, it needs its space. It is very relaxing to remind yourself - O.K. I am just alive and whatever there is in my life - the greatest gift is life itself. There is nothing to do. Nothing to achieve. Nowhere to go. Just Now. Just everything is like it is. That is the meaning of Justice, just is. So take your chance and just be.
Let go of whatever keeps your tuning, attention, your forcing. Let go.
